Binaural City Sounds
When we go out in the world, we often do not pay any attention to the sonic environment. However when we close off our visual senses, we can hear and discover the subtleties and richness of the sounds we unconsciously perceive in everyday life. This binaural recording captures the everyday sounds of a mid-sized Belgian city. Binaural recordings use two microphones to mimic the human hearing and to create a realistic 3D stereo sound. The binaural sounds were recorded using an Ambeo Sennheiser Smart Headset in the city of Hasselt in Belgium on March 31, 2021.
