I am a PhD candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology at the department of Industrial Design, and researcher at TRANZO Scientific Center for Care and Wellbeing, Tilburg University. With a background in architectural engineering, I am interested in designing ambient technologies and interactive spaces, that have a meaningful impact on vulnerable user groups.

My PhD research focuses on investigating the potential of everyday sounds and soundscapes in design of everyday technologies for people with dementia. I adopt a design research approach for introducing and evaluating novel design interventions in everyday care routines and real-life care environments, by involving the perspectives of key stakeholders such as residents in care facilities, their relatives and care practitioners.
